Peanuts to Lower Cholesterol

You ever get tired of granola bars and protein bars? We have something different for you today where we are making protein balls! I love this as a snack because it’s something that can fill you up and it’s healthy for you. It’s also cost effective and only takes about 10 minutes to make and trust me, you can make a lot of them. What’s great about peanut seeds or peanut oil is it is trans-fat free, cholesterol free, and low in saturated fats. This is good for us biologically because we are not putting in the bad fats. It’s also been shown to decrease any cardiovascular diseases (CVD) and lower our LDL cholesterol which is our “bad” cholesterol.
Here is some research regarding peanut seeds and oil.
“Peanut oil is naturally trans– fat-free, cholesterol-free, and low in saturated fats. It shows many positive biological effects, which are mostly connected with its high oleic acid content.”
“Peanut and peanut products (peanuts, peanut butter, and peanut oil) can be used in designing a high-MUFA, cholesterol-lowering diet that is preferable to a low-fat diet in regard to CVD protection. Peanuts also proved to be beneficial in lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes.”
Not only do we focus on your functional health, but we also focus on your overall health which means how you’re eating, how you’re moving, and how you’re managing your stress. Those are the main three things that we look at to make sure we can get you back on track and living the life you should live. Think about it. If we don’t move overweight can set in, stiffness of joints build up etc. If we don’t eat right we can have low energy, obesity, unhealthy gut that can’t fight off viruses so our immune system isn’t functioning the way it needs to be. If we don’t manage our stress our muscles are tight and will causes aches and pains throughout our body. So always remember that what you put into your body is what you’ll get out. So keep moving, eat right, and manage your stress by getting adjusted!
