Orthotics

There are all types of orthotics for specific uses throughout the body when facing injuries. In our clinics we may use foot orthotics from time to time depending upon the patients presenting symptoms. In 10% – 25% of low back pain we may see a break in the “kinetic chain”, which simply means examining the proper alignment of skeletal function from the feet to the skull. In certain cases of fallen arches, supination or pronation of the feet it could benefit the patient to temporarily use orthotics while working through a corrective care program consisting of adjusting the spine and a focused rehabilitative exercise program to restore proper function.
